JaShawn Johnson — Orangeburg County, South Carolina
September 28. JaShawn Johnson, 20, of Orangeburg, was arrested and charged with murder following the death of 23-year-old Cortez Davis. The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office said Davis was shot Friday night near Charleston Highway and Woodbine Drive. The investigation remains open.

Shouyong Zhang and Shili Chen — Dublin, California
September 27–28. Shouyong Zhang and Shili Chen, both 77, were arrested on suspicion of murder after their son-in-law, Jonathan McKinsey, 40, was killed at Dublin Sports Grounds in the San Francisco Bay Area. Police arrested the couple shortly afterward. Authorities had not announced a motive as of Monday.

Wendy Baptisme — Chicago, Illinois
September 26–27. Chicago police charged Wendy Baptisme, 36, with two counts of first-degree murder following the deaths of Deangelo Johnson, 27, and Angela Johnson, 47, in Chicago's Austin neighborhood. Police said Baptisme was taken into custody at the scene.

Eric Clark — Jackson, Mississippi
September 25–28. Eric Clark, 45, turned himself in and was charged with murder in connection with the death of 29-year-old Tasia Fortune. Clark was the third person arrested in the case. Jarquez Ratliff and Earnest Lloyd Jr. had also been arrested, according to Jackson police. The investigation remains active.

Kingston Lammar Bradley — Smyrna, Georgia
September 25. Kingston Lammar Bradley, 18, was charged with malice murder in connection with the death of 26-year-old Shanteria "KT" Mosley. Smyrna police said Bradley was already in custody on another charge when investigators upgraded the case to murder. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.

Angelica Sullivan — Ellenville, New York
September 24. New York State Police arrested Angelica Sullivan, 30, of Ellenville and charged her with second-degree murder in connection with the 2025 death of her 10-year-old daughter, Kathleen E. Pulido. State Police said the arrest followed an extensive investigation involving several local agencies.

Jose Miranda Jr. — Fresno County, California
September 21–25. Jose Miranda Jr., 23, was arrested in connection with the death of his younger brother, Diego Miranda, 19, at their family's home southeast of Selma. The Fresno County District Attorney's Office subsequently filed a murder case against him. Investigators had not announced a motive.

Diego Pizarro — Rochester, New York
September 23. Rochester police charged Diego Pizarro, 46, with second-degree murder following the death of 28-year-old Dynell Babers-White after an altercation at a Roth Street residence. A U.S. Marshals task force located Pizarro and took him into custody Wednesday morning.

Robert Ray Garcia — San Marcos, Texas
September 22. Robert Ray Garcia, 37, was arrested and charged with murder after San Marcos police found a 61-year-old female relative dead inside a residence. Garcia was located elsewhere in San Marcos and later booked into the Hays County Jail.
